Wilder World Executive Hints At Secretive Partnership With Star Atlas

In a recent X Space hosted with Metagravity hosted by Wilder World, Executive Producer n3o hinted at a possible behind the scenes collaboration with Star Atlas.

“We have a very real opportunity with a couple of the other… main companies we’re work, you guys are working with & we’re doing some stuff with Star Atlas… who we know well… we’re kinda like together.” Full Quote “One of the things that excites me is that we have a very real opportunity with a couple of the other, like, you know, main companies we’re work, you guys are working with and you know, we’re doing some stuff with Star Atlas for instance who we know well and the team there, it’s kinda cool that we’re kinda like together. This is not only interesting for Web3 but it’s really interesting for gaming in general and I feel like there’s like a very small group of us that are pretty much on the cutting edge and we’re actually like working through those problems in real time and I just wanted to call that out so people were aware the amount of diligence we have done.” – n3o, Executive Producer, Wild World

During the conversation, n3o strongly hinted at a closed door partnership with Star Atlas. Star Atlas is no stranger to partnerships across the Web3 ecosystem, having also partnered with Metagravity as well. If true, the trifecta of Wilder World, Star Atlas, and Metagravity could be a catalyst for a revolutionary Unreal Engine 5 gaming experience. Of note, Metagravity has been working with Star Atlas for approximately 10-11 Months and with Wilder World for approximately 6 Months.

Wilder World and Star Atlas Collaboration

The potential partnership between Wilder World and Star Atlas could represent the first instance of interoperability between Web3 games in the Unreal Engine 5 environment, harkening towards the inception of a true metaverse/simulation. [Wilder World refers to its environment as a simulation as opposed to a metaverse]

When questioned, Michael Wagner has ‘no comment’ on a potential collaboration. However, both Michael Wagner and N3o continued to tease a possible relationship online.

While the exact nature of the relationship between Wilder World and Star Atlas, if any, is speculative, here’s some follow up questions based on n3o’s recent live comments.

Who are the other companies that Wilder World is working with?

“With a couple of the other… main companies we’re work…there’s like a very small group of us”

Could this mean Star Atlas & Wilder World are trying to connect their UE5 games in some kind of way or are at least partnered?

“We’re doing some stuff with Star Atlas for instance who we know well and the team there, it’s kinda cool that we’re kinda like together

What are these teams working on that would be interesting to all of gaming, that would include a small group of separate gaming projects and highly scalable multiplayer concurrency, persistent worlds in UE5?

“This is not only interesting for Web3 but it’s really interesting for gaming in general”

“A very small group of us that are pretty much on the cutting edge and we’re actually like working through those problems in real time”

Does the Wilder World NEW roadmap look similar to what Star Atlas is building out? Have there been learnings from Star Atlas?

Wilder World – Defining of game modes:

Racing  A next-gen racing game focused on casual and competitive sim racing (similar to NFS, Forza, iRacing or Assetto Corsa).

Mining  A next-gen RTS and simulation game (similar to Age of Empires or SimCity)

Combat  A next-gen FPS and third-person combat game (similar to Halo or Fortnite).

RPG  A next-gen MMORPG that combines all game modes (similar to World of Warcraft).

“Wilder World is taking each competitive game mode seriously. Our intention is to be able to compete within each game category on a standalone basis, and then to combine each game mode into the ultimate game.”
