Valannia is a Medieval Fantasy and Strategy MMO being built in Unreal Engine 5 and on the Solana blockchain set to begin its initial launch of game releases in 2024.

What is Valannia?

From the whitepaper — Valannia is a massively multiplayer online game that offers players an immersive strategy experience in a fantasy world. With 8 different races to choose from, players can customize their hero and enhance their skills and equipment as they progress in the game.

Players will be able to craft, gather resources, and ultimately build their own castle within the game. Players will seek to increase their troops strength to advance the position in the world and claim new territory.

Valannia offers a unique Web3 experience in that assets are implemented in the form of Non-Fungible tokens meaning players will be able to own the items that they craft and own in game.

The game is named after the planet on which the game is set, Valannia. As an MMO, players will determine how they want to play the game either as a fighter, thief, tavernkeeper, bard, or many other roles on the way to defining their own adventure.

The Races of Valannia

Valannia offers 8 playable races to choose from in the game.

• The Humans — Experts at Blacksmithing and Strategy
• The Zan’thar — Telekinetic beings from another planet
• The Feyrune — Forest creatures skilled in jewel crafting and light combat
• The Glorb — Massive barbarian creatures that worship battle
• The Tyxen — Savvy rat-like creatures with a penchant for engineering and deception
• The Lerathi — Reptilian sorcerers proficient in magiks
• The Pirith — Ethereal beings that favor nature and necromancy
• The Altari — An avian race known for their hunting abilities

Gameplay Releases

The developers of Valannia intend to release multiple games and features over the course of its development cycle. Prior to the full scale MMO client in Unreal Engine 5, Valannia will launch Valannia:Arena which blends MOBA and RTS styles of gameplay.

The full Valannia game will release as an MMO where players will be able to conduct all the normal gameplay mechanics of a traditional MMO with the inclusion of Politics and land ownership.

Valannium Gold and Valannia Token

Without diving too much into the Valannia white paper, the Valannia metaverse will use a single currency and single token system.

Valannium Gold — The in-game currency and NOT a cryptocurrency or token. Acquired by participating in-game activities and used for things such as crafting, repairs, and upgrades.

Valannia Token — Mineable in-game and IS a representative token on the Solana chain. Used in certain scenarios such as Politics and the construction of new NFTs in game. It also functions as the game’s governance token.
