Friday May 31st — Welcome back Valannians! This past week, Valannia hosted its 7th Assembly and it was jam packed with exciting new updates and details for what lies ahead in the month of June.

In attendance were the complete cast, including Khal, Nacho, Pris, Manu, and Aaron.

You can find Valannia’s official recap here.

Valannia Assembly VII Highlights:

New Weekly Events on Social Media: New weekly Zealy missions called “Call to Adventures” launched offering activities for Valannians looking to win an origin hero. Entry into the contest requires Valannians to complete all 7 weekly quests. Participants will earn temporary roles in Discord to mark their progress and enter a final raffle for an origin hero. The raffle winner will be able select the race of their origin hero.

New Guild: Aaron Version introduced a new guild coming to Valannia, Cryptic Gaming Guild (CGG), a gaming guild originating in 2021 whose founders have strong ties to YGG.

Upcoming Releases: Over the next few weeks, more guild partnerships, work in progress updates, and weekly videos are planned. Expect frequent updates during the month in June including “surprises that no one is even aware of”!

Dawn of Adventures : Manu provided a rough estimate on when Dawn of Adventures would release. Manu estimated that DoA would take approximately 2 to 4 weeks for completion, so expect a release by the end of June.

Dawn of Adventure is the next release for Valannia allowing players to stake their Hero NFTs, earn experience points, and obtain gems for crafting weapons in the future.

Dawn of Adventure will require at least one Hero for mission staking and some missions will require two heroes. There is currently no known bonus for sending more heroes on missions as the team is strictly opposed to play-to-win mechanics. However, of course, players with more heroes can complete more missions and acquire more gems for future use. The team hinted that gems, along with other items, will be used to craft weapons in the upcoming crafting browser game set to also release this year.

Professions: Aaron officially announced some of the professions in Valannia, specifically Blacksmithing, Artisan, Jewelry, Leatherworking, and Alchemy. More professions will be announced in the coming weeks, although you can find a lengthy list of professions in the Valannia White Paper.

Additionally two resources were teased, Kronscale and Mirrormist, which will also be used in crafting.

Valannia Arena Development: Manu presented how Valannia Arena gameplay will occur. The arena will feature a best-of-three rounds match system with each round lasting approximately 10–12 minutes. Players will be able to swap units between rounds to adapt to their opponents strategy.

Additionally, the map will feature a shrinking zone mechanic similar to Fortnite. This ensures gameplay remains face-paced and timely.

Lastly, as a test of Valannia Arena, Khal will fight Manu in a 1v1 duel to test the mechanics of the game. Valannia Arena combat will be representative of Valannia World combat.

dApp 2.0: Enhancements are coming to the dApp, including profile pictures, frame changes, and a guild system with a guild app and guild levels.

Valannian Scrolls: Khal dropped major alpha when he announced that Valannia Scrolls would also be launching in the near future, likely around the same time guild functionality is added to the dApp. Valannian scrolls are unique to each race and thus have different prices depending on race.

Khal said that scrolls would include a Colossus unit, combat units, guild banners, and mystic lands as part of the scroll. Scrolls will only be sold for a limited time and never be sold again. Importantly, scrolls will be the only way for players or guilds to acquire Mystic Lands in Valannia World.

Mobile Port and Other tidbits: Crafting for Valannia will be available on mobile. The browser game will allow the use of multiple heroes. Alliances (cross-race or multi-guild), scholarships, and lending are planned for the distant future. There are no plans to increase the supply of heros or to add new heroes at the moment.
